Default colour in your workflow?

i'm curious what every one does with colour in their workflow? normally i just do a lab colour move (lab colour, apply image, soft light, then i pick from a or b - whatever looks best). what are other ways to play with or adjust colour?

I do the same thing for every photo, whether I keep it in color or not.
Levels>duplicate layer>equalize>change blend mode to soft light>opacity 30%>merge.
Done.
I usually add a vignette as well, but then I'm pretty much done.
I like to do as little as I can, but sometimes I'll go crazy and play with all sort's of things to get interesting colors with every little adjustment I can think to use just to see what happens.

I use Bibble Pro, which IIRC uses LAB space internally. It operates directly on the RAW data instead of having a separate "import" step.

The simple way to boost color:

Image>Adjustments> match color

Luminence 119
Color intensity 126
