2 questions for Photoshop elements 7

Hi everyone

I really enjoy this site on so many levels. I have the photoshop elements 7

I have 2 questions, maybe someone can help me...

1. How do I make the photo dark vinette (sp)?

2. How do I just make 1 thing color? Like make just the handles of a scooter?

Loads of ways to do this. My favourite is to duplicate the image on another layer. Set the blending mode to multiply and delete the centre portion of that layer with a lot of feathering. A very subtle effect. I learnt the method from a thread here by Inkista (I think). Try a tag search for vignette.

Again loads of ways. Try using a hue/saturation layer in combination with a layer mask.

If one thing is in colour and everything else is black and white or otherwise different, its a technique called SELECTIVE COLOURING.

Its fairly straightforward. Select the handlebars, inverse selection, desaturate.
