you might be able to make a feathered selection around it with just a tad bigger circle and then adjust exposure and levels to get it to match up.....after you get the tones to match take the heal brush in photoshop and go around the lines....I just did it really quick and it worked.... I think with a bit more time you can get rid of it quite easily.

With a bit of healing brush, curves, dodge and burn....

....and sorry I just couldn't leave the tiny dust particles and whatnot on the nose etc. >.<
If you want them back just say so. Matter of hiding a layer.

Dodge just brightens the image and burn makes it darker. Are you using them on empty layer? (that won't work )
A good way to do dodge/burn is to make new layer, set it to Linear dodge/Color dodge blending mode (or clr/lin burn if you want to do some burning) and paint (brush tool) with white (black for burn) on that. Low % of brush opacity works well (5% or even lower for subtle effects). This will affect all the layers below it without actually modifying the original layers.

In the image above most editing is done with healing brush though. If you want the .psd I can send it.

Love the photo btw. ^_^

I was reading through here and came across this statement. Have I got it right in that the .psd is a "walkthrough" of the steps you took in PP?

If so would you post them on here or send them to me. I am a complete PS gumby and am trying hard to learn how it all works and the .psd for this photo (if it is the PP history) would help me no end. I can follow through the process and try to emulate the great work that you have done on this photo.

I realise I am not the OP but I would love to know how you did it.

Thanks heaps.

.psd is the Photoshop document. All layers intact and so on, not like a tutorial but you can see what's been done if you flip the layers on and off.

I can make a tutorial out of this if you guys want.. and ntinlizi grants permission to use this image for that.

Man. I would so love that - and thanks to ntinlizi for the photo use.
Even if I can just follow the dots that will give me some idea of how to move from dot A to dot B.
