Default Photo Prints?

Looking at your pictures on computer is one thing, but I imagine there's nothing more satisfying than actually holding a finished print.

I've never really gotten any of my photographs printed. But I would like to start doing so and putting together a bit of an album.

I'm just curious to know where you get your prints done?
How much do they cost?

I also like the thought of one day getting some large prints or canvass made up for display.
Any thoughts or tips on printing and such would be appreciated.

I use Mpix. Here is their price sheet for prints.

For every day prints for yourself (family snapshots, etc.) Costco is a good option. Their quality is decent (most of the time) and the prices are excellent.

Also check with WHCC (White House Custom Color) for large prints and canvas.

For everyday prints, Wolf/Ritz camera does decent work. I would personally avoid a drugstore chain even though the cost is cheap.

Wolf/Ritz Camera will give you the best quality prints. Everything they use is better quality than Walgreens/CVS/Costco/Walmart. And unlike those other places, they don't have it set on auto for stuff to send through. Each order is looked at before they are sent to print to make sure it's all looking good. Only places I can see having better quality prints are specialty printing places, which cost a lot. You can also do sizes of up to 24x36 inches in store in an hour.

The price might be a little more, but it's worth it for the quality printing they do. If you are a member with them, you also get some discounts on photofinishing, frames, albums, etc. And if you are looking to just make albums, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can do 3.5x5 prints for 6 cents a piece. You won't find a better deal than that anywhere else.

Yes, I do work there, lol. But I have also worked at CVS, so I know the differences.
