Is "Joiner" style something specific; or, are you wanting to merge/blend two photos together?

Well, do you want the images to be meshed together, or do you want them to have visible lines separating them, as in your example?
In either case, you'll have to take your camera and go sit down somewhere, and take a bunch of pictures panning from left to right (or vice versa) and covering up and down as well. If you have a dSLR, make sure to set the exposure to locked, so that the iamges retain the same overall exposure level. If you want to make a seamless image, then using a program like AutoStitch is a simple 2 stop process. Open Autostitch, select images. It does all the work. If you want to make one with hard edges, that's even easier. In Photoshop, make a LARGE canvas with a coloured background (white, in your example) and simply place the images one over the other in place to sort of recreate the scene.
