Question Printing multiple photos on one page

Hi I want to print multiple photos (all different), but all the same size on one page. I use photoshop CS3. Can this be done? Any advice appreciated. Thanks Lainie

Just create each picture as a layer and then flatten image...There may also be some templates that you can find, so you do not have to sesize yourself...

No need to flatten. That would lock you in on your composition and wouldn't allow you to change any photos if you changed your mind.

Heh, I was thinking of printing on your own printer but yeah, print shops would require the file saved as jpg.

Thanks for replying. I guess I should've added more information. My photos are psd (which my printer will print OK), however I have 4 individual photos that I want to print at approx.
4x6". Rather than waste paper, I would like to arrange them all on one piece of paper, but don't know how to do that. I'm assuming I need some kind of template. Thanks again Lainie

Default Photoshop help

A quick option for your resizing would be to create and record an action that can be applied to each of your pictures to resize for quickness prior to moving into the single page and flattening the layers.

Hope this helps

To transfer onto one page first of all go to file then new - then select the size and resolution of the new page. when the new page opens hopefully it will be blank white and in the layer palette it will show as the background layer.

Now open your four picture files - press v on the keyboard which is the move tool. on your first picture put the tool over your picture and left click and hold and then drag into your new white page. Depending on the size of the picture you can move it to anywhere on the page. You do this for each of your pics. Once they are all on the one page you can move them around using the move tool, but you need to select each picture layer in the layer palette to make it active so it can be moved.

You can create a contact sheet:

File-->Automate-->Contact Sheet II

See if that will work for you.

What I'd do if I wanted to print two 4x6's on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet would be open a copy of each image that would be resized or cropped to 4"x6" and make note of the ppi resolution used. Open a "new" blank 8 1/2"x11" document and copy/paste or drag/drop the 4x6's into it and position accordingly as suggested by heathcliffe54. The new blank document needs to be the same ppi resolution is the 4x6 images or they will not size exactly.

I agree. This is the easiest solution to get different photos onto a single sheet. Just put all the photos into a separate folder and make sure they are all in the same orientation (e.g. Portrait).

From Contract Sheet, select FROM FOLDER option and adjust # of Rows and Columns (e.g. 2x2 for 4 photos).
