To anwer the question it wold be nice to see the images, otherwise you will just get a whole swag of responses telling you to use layers, selections, masking, etc. It really depends on the complexity.

Seeing the images would be helpful.

This one is fairly simple to do.

Load both images.
Using the Lasso tool select the face area on the image with the smile. In Select>Modify change feather to 3.
Using the Move tool, move the selection into the other image and place it roughly where it should go.
Use Edit>Free Transform to rotate the head until it looks natural.
In Tools>Blur slect Gaussian Blur and add 0.5 blur (just to finish blending in)
Flatten image, Layer>Flatten Image

What I did was also simple. As I noticed that the two images where very similar and that there where no position changes between the individuals I simply did this. I Opened both images on photoshop. Selected one of the images ctrl+a and clicked on the other image and pasted it ctrl +v. Then I went to the top layer one and erased everything expect from the guys head with the eraser tool. Having the blending opacity to 100%, then I simply flattened the image and voila.
I hope this sounded simple.
