Default Reducing Noise

Hello!

I am having a serious issues with noise in my photos. I'm not too familiar on how to use the filter within Photoshop, or know of any good noise reducing filters that I could download. Can anybody assist me in this?

Thanks,

Christina

Try This:

- Noise (Chroma-colour noise)

- Image> Mode> LAB Colour> Channels
Channel “a” Gaussian blur 5 pixels
Channel “b” Gaussian blur 5 pixels
Channel “lightness” Filter> noise> despeckle
Image> Mode> RGB colour

-Noise (Luma -Grainy noise)

-lasso area and apply smart blur at default setting (For small areas)
-Or Ctrl+J
-Smart blur-Then eraser tool to expose background features

Regards, Ken

Nothing gets my noise removal vote like Noise Ninja. Just about the simplest thing I've ever used.

I use Noiseware, you have to pay for the full version but you can get a reasonable trial version of it at: http://www.imagenomic.com/nwpg.aspx

I find that it's great at getting rid of noise without losing much detail in your pictures compared to alot of other noise reduction software.

Try neat Image. The free version is good and isn't crippled by restrictions until you pay. The only thing it can't do is output to a TIFF file.

Try lower ISO or better exposure. If you can limit the problem in camera, you will get much better results from the post-production polish. Have you got an example image (and associated camera settings) to illustrate the problem you are having?
