Hi folks,
I'm pretty new to the whole post processing thing but have noticed something that I need help on and that is a color difference I see in pics as I work on them in Lightroom and then when I post them on the web. For instance, I recently posted a pic in the assignment thread which shows some flowers breaking through the dirt in light room I adjusted the colors so that the blacks were brought up and the green was brought up so that it really popped but not so much when I exported the pic and then posted it. Is there a setting I'm missing in exporting or is this just the way it is? Thanks for any input... Corey |

What you may need to do is calibrate your monitor. I am no expert by any means but that's what it sounds like to me.
You can get a fairly inexpensive one to do this. I use a Spyder. There my be others that are better or less expensive so perhaps someone might jump in an suggest one

It might be a setting in your exporting. If I recall correctly, the default colour profile for Lightroom isn't sRGB. If you go to your export settings, make sure that under "File Settings" and "Color Space" it says sRGB.
![]() If it does and you're still seeing colour problems, then it might be time to calibrate your monitor.

Its not just that, sadly.
When youre editing in lightroom, youre running everything through your computer's Graphics Processor Unit (GPU). This is significantly more powerful when running things in a dedicated application like LR or Photoshop. Your browser, while it runs things through your GPU, isn't as dedicated and thus doesnt think very hard about it. It will ALWAYS be different, regardless of calibration or colourspace.

Yeah, it will always be different on different computers, but setting it to sRGB does usually make a world of difference in browsers when you don't have the colour space settings turned on

I was able to fix it by simply re-exporting my image files from PS.
