Here ya go, I punched up the saturation in the boat's red and edited out the blue hue in the boat's white.

I added a white "reflected gradient" on a separate layer, then lowered the opacity to 30%.

Then, again on a new layer, I brushed in some light grey clouds (downloaded in a set from Deviant Art user Blazter). I then used the Levels tool to lower the brightness until the clouds blended nicely with the sky.

This was a fun edit, TY for posting it

That's the nice thing about layers, if you decide you don't like it, just drag that baby to the trash.

The brushes are definitely worth downloading though, I just tossed these ones in there (5 mins total editing time on that) but if a lil more care was used than can look really nice. Every sky is more interesting with clouds

Here's another ones, more clouds, but toned down more, as well as more depth and a blue her added. I also cropped this one down to a 4x10, but you can also do 10x20 if you want.

Here is a little clean up on your image.

tanker adjusted

What I did. Cleaned noise off the blue channel with Noise Ninja. Colour corrected image with a curves layer (I thought there was a strong blue cast in the image). Did a selective colour layer bump on the red of the tanker. Ran a second Noise Ninja on whole image. Sharpened with unsharp mask. I thought this made the tanker stand out a little better and brightened the image.

Okay. I saw this earlier and just had to play with it! The lack of variations in the blues bothered me, so I added a couple of layers of color to bring out the differences. I cropped a bit off of the sky to place the ship a little higher in the frame. I also added a bit of sea in front of the ship, so you could see where it was heading. The sky was just a play with the airbrush & many different colors. It's probably too dark for you, but I had fun.

Colors were changed using levels and curves,

Wow, Laurie, I really like that!

When you say "I added a couple of layers of color to bring out the differences", would you mind outlining what you did exactly?

Removed noise and sharpened.
Curves layer for more contrast and bumping the dark side level.
Added noise to the edges and some vignetting.
Color adjustments with curves and hue/sat.
