Monochrome Portrait... Uganda Visit 2007

This is my first posting to the portrait section of DPS. So hopefully my image is ok in this section...

I took this photo whilst doing some project work in Uganda in 2007, a very rewarding trip in many ways. With this I did feel a little that waving my camera around was not suitable due to the poverty surrounding me.

I did manage to get some really great images whilst there. However, this portrait of a young boy at one of the schools I helped at really jumps out at me.

What could I do in photoshop to make the image better? or if I could take it again, what should I have done differently?
