Watermark question...

I have PS Elements and I would like to try to watermark some of my shots but I have never done this and I am not sure where to begin. Do I just start with the text tool and then what? How do I get it to not look so harsh. Thanks for any help.

Create a new layer and type the text in that layer, and then slide the opacity of that layer down to a point where you can see the watermark but it doesn't detract from the image.

You can also try making your own brush (there's a great tutorial here). That way it's easy to change the colour, opacity, and size of the watermark to suit your image
