Display Novice

I havn't had any prints made yet and I was trying to get my thoughts together on how I want to display some. I'm not sure what to do about this one... Any suggestions?

I was thinking maybe not matting and just a poster frame. Any color suggestions?

Or should I go with white and black matting and a black frame?

I was thinking of getting it made as an 8x12 (~327 ppi) or maybe even 12x18 (~218 ppi). I know lots of people recommend 300 or 350 dpi, is 218 ppi too low?

i think the picture would stand out on its own without a frame or matte. can't think of the name of the technique but they put the picture on a 1/4" board or thicker and you can hang it on the wall just like that. looks nice if you have the right type of picture.
