Default Photoshop Elements...Borders and Signatures

Hello,

I have Photoshop Elements #2 and #5. Can I put borders around photos with these versions, and if so how do you do it? I also want to put my name on photographs and was wondering how that is done? If I can't do this can you please recommend a good post processing software that will do this and editing. Is Photoshop the best, or is there something new and simple to use?

Thanks for any Info,

Krystal

I have Elements 6 and you can add borders and names. I recently took at class for elements 5 and you could. It was under artwork. First click on create, then artwork. You'll then get 2 small drop down boxes. In the 1st one do "by type". In the other one click on "frames".
You can also add names by using the Text tool.
Or
if you use Flickr you can add frames and Text under the edit tab.
Hope this helps you.

You can create borders in PSE fairly easily. Just use the resize option and select canvas size. This will increase the size of your picture and fill all of the new space with whatever colour you have selected as you background colour. You can easily change the colour once done using the colour fill (paint pot) tool. To put your name in the border just use the text tool (T in the tool pallet)

Here is a link to a great tutorial on watermarking, which is a technique for adding your name to an image.
