Default Too monotonous - brighten colors?

I've done all I know how to, with fixing the contrast and curves on this picture, but the colors still seem so dull! Any suggestions?

Ehhhh, the colors for me aren't an issue. It's the flash -- I'm assuming you used it.
If you're next to a window..no direct flash! Bounce it off a wall of diffuse it (toilet paper or something like the over the flash). Flash just gives everything a flat look. No shadows except for the huge, very distracting one behind your model.
And if you want, you could always make insta-art and convert it to black and white.

Also, the colours don't look all that strong to start with. If you want colour, get the model to wear a dress with some colour in it, or at least a colourful necklace! Add a bit of colour on the wall. When you start with beige and dark grey the only way to make it look more colourful is to colourize!

The easy way- match color-Luminance 119;color intensity 126, with a little local contrast enhancement- Regards, Ken

I'm wondering whether if you give the photo a white vignette it will help draw attention to her?

Which Photoshop application would you suggest for the vignette? And you mean over the entire picture? I did change it to a sepia color and it came out better, but I'm willing to try this too.
