I got 8 out of 10--missed the car and whisks. I can't imagine how someone did that car! I kept looking at the whisks as they looked a bit too perfect, but my little brain couldn't imagine how it was done!

Thanks, jiminy!

Thanks for that! I only got 7/10, but it was fun - and very impressive!

Default Difficult, but not impossible

Excellent test, thank you!

Got 14 out of 14!

Don't read the following before taking the test!!
The first one: if it was a real lens, the gate posts would converge at the top, not the other way round.
Second: some shadows on the cup are suspicious in tone.
Third: real; why would anyone create such a picture? Too easy for the real pro.
Gems: the shadows are too dark, the gems would create some bright spots in the shadows.
Screw: looks very real, the gradation of blurring.
Whiskers: the white shadow gives it away.
Car hood: too much like CG, must be the trick question!
Monkeys: too much like a typical CG subject. Shadows too perfect.
Peppers: The imperfections of colour fringes make it look real.
Bonus:
Balls: look artificial, everything is too perfect. There is no lens like this.
Lizard: real; the colour imperfections of the lighting give it away.
Glass: real. Too imperfect again.
Man: the wrinkles are too smooth: either they wouldn't show or they would be more detailed with a real lens.

PLUS: luck!

Very cool! I was surprised that I got 8 out of 10 right! LOL! I missed the car and the corkscrew.

I got 8 out of 10, too, but some of them were definitely guesses. Very impressive.
