How do people get those classic, glassy, light, bright eyes??? I want them and am failing miserably!
I'm using Elements 6 on a Mac btw... the only hints I've found about eyes are to use the unsharp mask and use it a number of times on just that bit of the photo using layer masks... but the effect is no where near what I am trying to create... examples: http://bp3.blogger.com/_ctFQ0hzVP9Q/...1600-h/w+2.jpg http://flickr.com/photos/cdm/469312377/ http://flickr.com/photos/beija-flor/229632970/ Any ideas would be truly appreciated |

KathyrnWilson has put on here before how she does the "eye thing". I can't find it right now, but try on search on her username.

Yes - most of my effect like that is a screen layer of just the eye part, with opacity to taste. Then I apply an Unsharp Mask to my whole picture. However, particularly having looked at your examples of what you're aiming for, the most important part is getting good light in the eyes, then nailing perfect focus.

Thanks guys.
AmyRose photoshop secrets blog uses the same technique that I have been using. I think maybe I need to just get more natural light into the eyes when taking the shot. Here are some I've tried using that technique, I'm still not getting the effect I'm after: ![]() ![]()

Perhaps the eyes just arent getting sharp enough. That was my take on the tutorial and have tried it out on several images and they work great. However, it doesnt sem to work as well on brown eyes
