How do ppl do pics like this? It kinda looks like they're not real, I have no idea.

Flashes with snoots, I think. I don't know though. I've never actually worked with an external flash. But I did stay at a Holday Inn last night.

Well, I dont really know for sure, but they applied a heavy vignette, there is also a flash to the girls left(our right), one also to her right, behind the guy. Although, I have little experince with flashes, so I couldnt begin to try to tell you what kind

Looking at the shadows ontheir faces I'd guess a low light to the far right, a second light to the right and slightly higher, and also a low light behind to the left (provides a highlight to her right cheek). His eye looks PhotoShopped, so other parts of the image may also be?

Have you had a look at Strobist? There is also a good book called "Light: Science and Magic" that is a good read.

I'd say good lighting and alot of burning.....
