How to crop/cut one photo into multiple fix size to print big?

Hello,

I am not sure how to put this, but I'm looking up a way on how I can turn one single photos into a big one by assembling multiple of its mini-cropped-from-its-origin.

I found some ways online, as Blockposter where it cuts your photo into several A4 sizes paper so that you can print from pdf format and by your own printer.

The one that I'm looking for is how to cut the origin picture so that I can still print every cropped pieces of it on fix sizes other than A4, more to photo standard size, eg 3R, 4R and so on...

As in I want to pieces a big printed picture, from several of its mini-3R/4R-printed-pictures.

Could you guys point out a way, a link, a tutorial, that would be awesome. Thanks!
