What kind of advice are you looking for? Have you already got printer and paper or are you right at the start?

I think I have a good mix of images for a scrapbook, but for a portfolio, my concern was how I was going to organize them. Again, not specific enough. Perhaps I am not as ready as I had hoped (?). I'm curious as to why a digital photographer would print their own. While I understand the concept, but it just seems really expensive. Remember, I am a beginner! |

What kind of scrapbooking do you want to do? Ive been scrapbooking since i was 6, im 25 now, and 3 years ago I got sucked into digital scrapbooking. Less time consuming and not as messy! Creative memories has an awesome program called storybook creator. Its expensive but its definitely worth it, Im very detailed when it comes to my scrapbooks and they have everything you could imagine. If you want just a basic scrapbook try picaboo.com, less detailed and less expensive depending on the type of covers (leather, fabric or hard cover) as far as a portfolio, when i worked at sears portrait studio, they helped me put one together and it was a basic 3 ring binder and i had each section tabbed off ( maternity, family, weddings, engagement, kids, infants...etc) I have found that most pros have their portfolios online on their website. Im just an amateur, i do it for fun not money and i use kodak.com to print out my prints and never once had a problem.
