LOL gotta love that jaundice look in the second photo. Yea that first photo is the after, after having to pull soooooooooo much red out of the photo finally got something acceptable. It actually looks accurate to their tones on my screen, the little boy had a bright red face from running forever ahead of us lol so I had a bit of work to do.

Thanks Luna - I got my calibration tool today, I also have 6500K daylight bulbs that are always running when I'm editing - so I made sure to calibrate using ambient light too.
The result looks a little heavy on the red to me, but it could be because I'm just used to looking at it with the cool tones, I'm not sure.

Also - I also had my color management in pse7 set to AdobeRGB and feel like an idiot because of it. I imagine that was the setting I had when I sent the photos to the lab - but I've since switched it back, and it appears that all the photos now look much better.
I've sent off a couple test prints, so we'll see!!
