Layer masks are my best friends. I can't imagine how you used to live without them! Welcome to the club though!

I'd probably really like them a lot if I could flippin understand them. What with Raster, Vector, Art Media, Mask and Adjustment Layers, I get more confused as each day goes by. Probably compounded by the fact I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, which very few people seem to use, and there doesn't appear to be much guidance from Google. And before anyone shouts RTFM; I have and its still not making sense... Sorry Rant over.

Really glad you've managed to work it out kelleyrie

'Smart Objects' I'm not even going to ask!

Cheers

So, have you tried gradient fills on the mask yet?
