What books would you recommend for someone to learn post-processing basics and Lightroom 3?
Something which explains things like difference between brightness and fill light. Also where to find it and how to do it in LR3. |

I use LR3 and I purchased the book in the first link. It is well written and good "how to" sections. I have yet to get through the entire book. I think it is for the more basic user, and that description fits me like a glove. I have many pages already marked and dog eared. The second is a free pdf.

Thanks. I'll look in to them.
Also just to clarify I'm interested in LR as a photo editing tool (not to manage the workflow) |

LR does both. If you are looking for a strictly editing tool, maybe a full version of Photoshop will better fit your needs. There is much more one can do in PS vs LR.

I already have a copy of LR3.
I don't mind if the book has sections on workflow management. (But it's not a must have for me) I manage my workflow manually. If you have good Photoshop books go ahead and recommend them too. |

I don't have PS. I am a new hobbyist and not ready to invest in PS. I'm cheap, it took me 30 min just to pry open the wallet. I may be the wrong kind of guy with a hooby that can be very gear intensive.

no worries. Just thought you might be a PS person since you talked about PS. |
