The retouching is good. then I would start with color correction and contrast. If you want to PM me, and maybe a full size copy I will see what I can do.

Scott, for the fun of it I played around with it (always up for a challenge) All done on an uncalibrated laptop (so who knows?)..started with auto color, a lot of selective color adjustments thereafter..a little vignette added to deemphasize that background. It has the potential to be worked and fixed, but will take a fair bit of work. I'm not saying this would be the finished product, but I believe the overall tones are a bit better after a few of these steps

I need an unadulterated scan of the pic. Then I can show you what magic can happen. I am guessing that this was shot on Kodachrome, I think I can emulate the true colors from the day it was shot. I am willing to do it if you send me a link to the pic.

Putting the magic on it right now. Working at 200% ( I work at pixel level) - Stevie Ray turned up loud
![]() I think I should have this done today - Starting to despeck the clothing. What size do you want this printed at when I am done? I will produce one at scan size and one at whatever size in Onone.

Here is the retouch. I worked at 200%. Despecking this image was the toughest part. Cleaned up clothing and - blah blah blah. Like Dave Hill explaining his work flow.
![]() ![]() Here is a link to the finished tiff file. If you need it resized just say so and I can resize within reason. http://www.thomasneubauer.com/images/Scan002-2.tif And the jpeg http://www.thomasneubauer.com/images/Scan002-2.jpg Crits are welcome. I think I did a pretty good job on it. Wish I could have killed the color cast but I feel that adds to the nostalgia of the image. The trick it to never add anything to the image while correcting it. Got rid of the glare on the hanging brass plate. It was like a burning highlight and detracted from the over all picture.
