Default HELP! Pictures great prior to printing??

Hey! I took what I thought were some pretty decent photos, enhanced through PS Elements 8, then sent to print at snapfish. They don't look the same to me.. Did I do something wrong?? exposures are off.. Thanks for any and all feedback!! Susan

Is your monitor calibrated? is it set to the right profile for Snapfish?

The noise is very bad when pulled in...what ISO did you shoot at, or was it grossly underexposed? It looks like you had good available light. I'm not liking the original crop...crops cut mid calf below the knees are a no no. I used PS noise reduction to get rid of some of the noise, and re-cropped it to a landscape. I prefer this crop to the original, but it's your choice if you prefer the original out of camera crop. Too bad you couldn't get more of his left hand in the image

Default Autofocus, thank you....here's more

Dear Autofocus, thank you. I'll attach the "as shot" version. I did a photoshoot at the beach and my niece wanted this as an 8x10 if I could lighten it.. I tried to lighten it and, well you see my results.. I'm trying to learn PS (E8), I really need a class!! Thank you! I shot the photo at ISO 640 (sun behind subject), f5.6, 1250, flash did not fire..Thank you for the help you have already given. Susan

I played a little with it on my un-calibrated laptop so I can't be sure of the skin tones, and cropped it to what an 8x10 would be. Can I assume you understand what happens when you crop a 2x3 aspect ratio to an 8x10?...what you see here is what you'll get after the crop

Default Thank you again, Autofocus.

Yeah, I guess this is just a trash photo.. Underexposed and can't do anything about it.. except reshoot and make sure my flash fires.. This wasn't the only one.. I don't have a website yet, but pics are posted at facebook if you're interested.. Thanks for all your time. I'm sure I'll be back in forums soon!! Trying to learn PS.. Thank you!! Susan H Morgan
