Default What kind of color corrections are these?

I'm trying to become more knowledgeable about color corrections, but it's difficult for me to learn how to do it just by observation. How would you be able to recreate these two color-corrected images with lightroom or photoshop? (adjust things such as temp, tint, recovery, luminance, hue, & split toning)

Here's the first photograph that I want to do more of..

and also this one:

I think these same adjustments are made in movies too? it would be helpful to know because in the future I plan to edit a lot of home movies and photos.

Thank you!

the first one also includes a texture layer...
as far as the adjustments, its hard to say precisely but take a look at this blog where there are a lot of discussion of colorizing and texturing - even some freebies. The CoffeeShop Blog

You can also check out Matt Kloskowski's Lightroom Killer Tips and hunt through the archives - he has a ton of lightroom presets that you could try as well...

And here I was, wiping my monitor down with a cloth trying to get the damn dirt off. Then I wondered if the lens used was filthy.

That's why when I use textures, I'm careful about the kinds I use and I mask the image back in so it doesn't look "dirty".

Lol, I actually wondered the same thing for a minute. Because my monitor was a tad bit dirty. But then I noticed the dirt scrolled with the screen lol.
