Default editing in lightroom than switching to PS and vice versa question

Hi there, I just have a quick question.

You know how if you do the post prossesing in lightroom, you can edit the photo you are currently working on in photoshop by going to photo>edit in>PS. After say I did a few edits in photoshop I want that image back in lightroom to continue working on it there...how do I do that

the only way I can think of doing it is saving the image from PS and than reopen it in lighroom, but than its not a RAW image anymore, and I want to be in RAW when I edit in lightroom to get more control...

Nope not going to happen, it will save back as a tiff or jpg. I prefer tiffs

As far as workflow...if you "edit in PS" thenjust "save" in PS, it will save back into LR and show in the filmstrip. If you "save as" you break the link . If you want to get it back into the LR folder you need to ensure it is located in the correct folder (outside of LR using Finder or Explorer) then right click on the folder and synchronize....

When you open it from LightRoom, as long as you don't change the file name or location when you save it, then Lightroom will automatically add the PS edited version to your Library. You'll then have two copies in your Library, the original RAW file, and the edited version (PSD, JPG, TIF, etc.)
