Default flat light
If you have taken a picture of a flower say, in a flat light, is there any way in photoshop to make it glow a little bit? I took a macro of a magnolia which is quite beautiful but a little flat ...

It's actually not bad at all. Two quick adjustments in CS2 - a levels adjustment to bring the whites up a bit, and a soft light layer at 75% to add contrast. A subtle difference, but it gives it a bit of "pop".
