Default How do I eliminate the red from faces.

I recently did a photoshoot of a family for free as I am just starting out. We took some pictures of them on a red bridge and because of the lighting the red is bouncing off the bridge on to their faces. How would I, particularly in lightroom, eliminate the red from their faces without losing the color of the red bridge?

Yeah, this doesnt look too bad to me either..little underexposed maybe.

However, to answer your question, isolate the red channel in saturation and lower it.

If you wanted to maintain the saturation of the bridge, ut lower it in the skin, Idk how you'd do it in LR, but in CS5 you'd just have to use a different layer.

the photo is a bit underexposed so a slight levels adjustment would help it a lot. the red is not so disturbing. i am not familiar with lightroom but in photoshop, i use cs2, the easier way would be to use the sponge tool and set to desaturate, set the brush to softest and opacity to 20%. adjust brush size so that it covers only the red areas and by careful brushing, this will reduce the red on some parts of their faces and hands and neck.don't overbrush as this will eliminate the color and make it gray.
