Default Investing In A Quality Printer This Weekend!??

Hello,

Im heading out to purchase a quality printer this weekend.

I want one that can print both normal photo prints and canvases if at all possible.

I have had a few suggestions from my friends of which one to go for but I want a wider review on printers from you guys.

Which one would you go for?

I have a £1000 Budget.

Is this a good investment?
I figure charging around £20 per canvas (A3 for arguement sake) which would mean I would only need 50 customers to pay it off.

Any input would be helpful.

Personally, I don't think inkjets are nearly as good as what you can get from a lab, and they're a pain to use/calibrate. I don't know about printing to canvas, but Epsons are generally a good choice for paper. I think the last one I used was an R1800? R2400? Something like that.

As an aside, I'd be charging way more for a canvas.

Thanks for the input.

Yea I havnt sat down and figured out what my pricing will be as Im in a small town and times are hard for everyone, I would rather attract them into our buisness which will have a host of services including photography, web building, graphic and logo design, computer repair and office supplies!
