Default Raw files & photoshop question

If I open the image using the raw converter and send it to photoshop as either a tiff or jpeg I get the following image size

Image data Converter SR (Sony)
Pixel Dimensions
width: 3872
height: 2592

Document size:
11.063 inches
7.406 inchesResolution: 350 pixels/inch

If I open the image in Adobe CS5 it opens the Image data Converter SR as above, however the image sizes are different as below once the image is brought into CS5

Pixel Dimensions
width: 3872
height: 2592

Document size:
16.133 inches
10.8 inches

Resolution: 240 pixels/inch

So my questions is, why the different document sizes and resolution. Kepp in mind there have been no changes whatsoever, no cropping, trimming, compressing, just the straight RAW files brought into photoshop..

That's ACR's default settings. I had the same question a while back knowing that my Nikon produces jpeg image resolutions at 300..so why was it now 240 for RAW? Again, that's the default setting

What matters is the pixel dimension and they are exactly the same.

This.

The inches are calculated from the pixels and the ppi.
