Default How do I get rid of this stray hair?

IMG_0461-pswarm
The kids and I did self portraits yesterday for fun, and this is mine. Even though I've read the tutorials for Photoshop on using the stamp and healing brush, I just can't seem to get rid of that hair down the center of my forehead. Can anyone help me?

with the rubberstamp tool, set the brush size to just a bit bigger then the strand. make the brush soft and check the aligned box. make opacity 100%. place the brush on the bottom part of the strand and press alt and click once on the mouse. then move the brush a bit to the left and press alt and click again. this procedure chooses where you want to place the cloned image and the second click chooses the source point. then click on the strand and move the cursor up following the strand and the strand will disappear.

I usually use the spot healing brush for that (I use a tiny brush and zoom way in). What version of Photoshop are you using?

Thank you. I did this and it worked. Did you also do something to my skin? Because I think yours looks better than mine.

It looks like a softening layer was added and some brightness/contrast adjustment.

TW and More, yes, i selected the face by entering quickmask (press Q} and brushed the face with a fairly soft brush brush. this became colored (red) then exited quickmask, pressed Q again and the color became a selection. adjusted by using levels to slightly lighten the midtones, by moving the middle arrow a bit to the left.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to me - I was able to lighten my face like you said. You've taught me 2 new things in photoshop - thanks so much!
