Default Cropping in RAW vs. JPEG

Is it better to crop a photo while in RAW or after it's been converted to JPEG? Does it make a difference in resolution?
I do minor exposure/contrast editing of my RAW images in DPP because my version of CS3 doesn't support my RAW files. I do a majority of the editing and fine tuning in PS.

Have you checked the Adobe web site to see if there's an updated ACR that will support your RAW files?

I usually crop before I make any levels adjustments (you may crop out areas that would affect the histogram).

Assume it's the newer-camera/older Photoshop dilemma? Have you considered using Adobe's DNG converter, so you can have most RAW capabilities while in Photoshop? It's how I used 50D and S90 RAW files in CS3. DNG is Adobe's open "digital negative" format, and is their version of RAW.

Also, learning to crop nondestructively in PS is a good thing.

As far as I know, I did try the DNG converter wen I originally ran into the problem but it didn't work with my 7D files.
Thank you for the link on cropping - I will check that out!
