Default Help with RAW images

Hi there...I was hoping for some help here. I am new to photography and am shooting on a Canon 10D. I took some Cap and Gown shots of my senior in RAW. Well, as it turns out my computer doesn't support the files and I can't find the software anywhere since it seems to be so outdated. Is there any hope to convert these files? Or are they just a loss? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much.

Marie

Does the s/w that came with your camera support RAW? I have a 20D, and need to load the pictures using Canon's s/w...after that, I can open them in Adobe RAW. Canon's s/w also should allow you to do some basic edits

Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop Elements 9 (and earlier versions of both) will edit and convert RAW files, as will Lightroom.

We got the camera used from a photographer that my husband knows and it did not come with software...

Doesn't your Canon come with a disk that has Digital Photo Professional on it? That lets you edit RAW files and convert them to jpgs.

Or you can download this for free - Photo-Freeware.net - RAW Therapee Download
