What are the dimensions of the file you are trying to print?

yeah, post the exif and/or a link to the original image so we can see what the issues are.

Have you tried a different lab?

It may have something to do with the image size. Before you saved the image, did you resize it? It's best to use the original image size (or just a little smaller) if you're trying to enlarge a print, otherwise your print may end up looking a little pixelated - at least in my experience.

ok let me explain a lil more in my camera it has an area where you choose image size the sizes are as follows:

L 4:3
L 3:2
L 16:9
M 4:3
M 3:2
M 16:9
S 4:3
S 3:2
S 16:9

usually shoot in the M 3:2 mode
the photo i'm talking about doesn't have any exif because i edited it in picnik but hopefully you guys and explain the image size so i can set that correctly to be able to print cuz i'm pretty sure that has something to do with it . hope that is enough info to help me

Just a suggestion. For 4x6 (@ 300 dpi), use picnik to resize your photo:

Landscape: Width = 1800, Height = 1200, Percent = 100%
Portrait: Width = 1200, Height = 1800, Percent = 100%

Use the Large 3:2 mode. For 8x10, Frame your subject a little loose, and leave enough room to crop when shooting, because it will. 8x10 is 4:5 aspect instead of the native 3:2.

Actually, for 8x10s use the L 4:3 mode: it's closer to 4:5 than 3:2 is.

Really? I may be wrong, but isn't it easier to worry about cropping just one side instead of both?
