Default yikes help!!

so I don't ever do family shots, can't stand working with adults and don't like posing groups... anyways this was the baby's 3 mth session and they don't have any family shots and asked if I would shoot a few. sure give me a little extra in the money dept. no problem... but wait there is a problem... i don't have room for four people in my baby studio!! figuring I would be able to just edit the background back together I shot a couple and figured I was good.... problem again... can't get the picture to look good... was wondering if someone that had time on their hands would want to play around with this photo and see if they can figure it out. the one showing is just one on my flickr... i can send raw if you would like TIA

at this point layers are your friend. Take a picture of your baby studio with the same lighting, open the file with PS or your photo editing program of choice, make a new layer, add the pic with the people in it, erase the background of the people pic so that the background layer is now visible. viola, nice background, same people.

It's definitely salvageable. I played with it for fun...applied one of those scratchy texture screens (all I had on my laptop), had to blur it to my liking, did some lighting effects on that background layer to give it some separation from the subjects, and finished with a slightly tighter crop. Please show us your end results when you're done

Looks great, good job. I would like to see a tighter crop with the group more centered eliminating some of that space on the left side of the image, however

Nice save! I'd just burn the background where it's a bit lighter than the original.
