Question Calling all Pentax K-x Owners...and really knowledgeable camera owners :)

Hello there all of you Pentax owners, I have a Pentax k-x (of course) and I'm having a problem with uploading my photos off of the camera, well its not really the upload that's the problem, its the picture size. I'm finding it to be a hassle because I can't upload my photos to Facebook because the size of the photos are too big. How do I reduce the size of the picture so I can stop wanting to pull my hair out? Lol.

Now I'm not a camera whiz so if you could put it it laymen terms it would be much appreciated

Thank you!

Either you take the pictures at a smaller size or you re-size in your post processing. What software do you use to edit your photos?

How do I take pictures at a smaller size? Is it an option on my camera? I use a free software to edit my photos, Photofiltre usually accomplishes what I want done and if its absolutely necessary then I'll use PSE 6 (I think its 6) because its too confusing and I cant afford all the bells and whistle of full Photoshop software.
