Inexpensive alternative in Lightroom to apply a film look to images.

I just stumbled upon a treasure trove of presets for Lightroom 3 (2 I think). I've wanting to buy Exposer 3 from Alien Skin Software to transform my digital photos into looking like film. The problem is that Exposer 3 costs about 300.00. There is a solution for others like me that can't afford that just yet but still want incredable looking images. Thanks for the info. Some "film" presets do work, sometimes.

To be honest, in this case I prefer the before shots.
