Default Focus point?

Am I right in thinking that there is NOT a way to see your focus point on screen in CS5 or LR?

It would be really useful if there is

Not that I know of - that'd be cool though.

I did some checking - turns out that Lightroom / Photoshop don't. It's because the major camera manufacturers are encrypting this data in their raw files - the folks at Adobe have basically reverse engineered alot of the data, but not all.

I don't know why Nikon / Canon are hiding this information. They have it in their own image editing programs - so if you use the Nikon Capture program you can see such data - but unfortunately not lightroom. I believe there are some third party people working on a plug-in.

It's not too terribly useful for me, as I focus recompose alot, (which isn't so bad, there used to be parallax errprs - but those can go away with focus tracking )

Thank you. Perhaps they will come round if enough of us ask for it ;-)
