Default 1. genuine adobe software or not?

Hi

Does anyone knows how to check a jpeg / png / gif file whether it used a genuine adobe software or not?

We wanted to purchase some picture and my boss needs to know this.

Thanks

As far as I know, no it's not possible to know from the Exif data whether to copy of the software used was legitimate.
You could always ask the photographer to provide you with their Serial# to check with adobe.. ah never mind, i'd tell you to f-off if you asked me that haha!

I'm curious... you need to know whether the software that someone else used on a photo is genuine, so that you can buy the photo? I'd understand if someone were selling you the software itself, but as far as the photo goes -- it shouldn't matter.

Just a guess, but the OP is probably worried that someone will be able to tell he's using a pirated copy of Photoshop to edit his photos. If that's the case, either buy a legit copy of the software, or get gimp.
