Hey all!
I just got Lightroom 3 and while I'm still learning, I like it so far and believe it is streamlining my workflow. I am quickly getting addicted to collecting presets, but I am finding them useless at this point...What I like to do is the basic edits for the shoot, and then pick photos to do what we call artistic edits (like cross process, tones, black and white, textures, etc). I'd like to do as much of this as possible in LR (I know I can't do textures). The problem I'm having is that the presets I have that look like they'll replace my 'artsy' PS actions seem to be made to appy to shots SOOC, so when I put them on my basic edits, the effect is too much, and most often with highlights blown out. Does anyone know of preset makers that don't put in that "save the exposure in your shot" part of their presets? Basically that they are for images that are already edited or where the exposure doesn't need a boost? I appreaciate the input! ~C

Best solution is probably to edit one of the images processed with a preset to what you want and save it as a new preset

D'oh! {slaps forehead} That is probably easier than searching...I will have to learn to play with the ones I have. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks I do have an extensive collection of Photoshop actions...and kind of wanted to find their equivalents in LR presets instead. It will certainly be a journey to do so
