What would be the easiest way to "delete" the blanket off the top of the couch?

that should be pretty easy in PS, or other editor, just clone it out

after what you have done, removing the blanket, select the left cushion and put this in another layer. move this to the right and align it with the rest of the cushions. adjust with levels to darken a bit to have the same density as the other cushion. erase the excess bg on this layer and merge.

+1 I always duplicate layer and mask in the part or copy/paste the parts I need to a new layer and then make them fit. I hate the clone tool, so if I can't use the patch tool, I just take a bigger patch lol!

Make a mental note that this is one of those things that would've taken 1s to fix when you're shooting it.
