Default Does anyone know how to edit out braces?

A family friend asked me to take pictures but she would like me to (if possible) edit out her braces. I haven't done this before and told her that I don't know how as of now but am willing to practice if she can provide some current photos. I told her that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to do it but I'll see if I can learn and I'll let her know.

I use PSE7 and am pretty adept at it. If any of you know how to effectively edit out braces or know where I can find a tutorial on it, I'd be eternally grateful.

Also, as an aside, since I am sure that it would take considerably longer than usual to edit/process photos, should I charge her extra (after explaining why, of course)? I have no idea how much longer it would take.

Thanks!

Let me google that for you

It will take longer that a lot of typical edits but how much is hard to say. Perhaps you can tell her that you'll give it a little try then get back to her after you have a chance to see what your up against...

Yes, yes, I know how to Google. I guess I was just wondering if anyone had come across a really good tutorial they knew about, had possibly used or think is quite brilliant, and could share...not something random. But I do appreciate the Google search.

Just use the Clone tool with a small brush. Click on a portion of a tooth without braces and clone. Be sure to use a point of origin on each individual tooth and clone on the same tooth for consistency in colour.

It shouldn’t take too long.

I second the motion to use the clone tool or a healing brush tool. There is another unique way to do it found in this tutorial that might work for you as well...
