I've been searching for the last week or two to find if its all possible to setup Lightroom to add the project name to the folder structure...
I've been able to setup LR to rename my files how I want them with the project name in the file name, but it appears that with LR it will only automatically create the folders based on dates, nothing else... So I'm wondering if there is any hacks/work arounds that allows you to add the project name/custom folder names rather than just date based... Basically I'm wanting to adopt a folder and file name structure very similar to Chase Jarvis's setup (look on youtube for Chase Jarvis Workflow if you haven't seen the couple of videos where he talks about it)... What I'm wanting is a folder\file structure like this: Year\YearMonthDay_ProjectName\YearMonthDay_Project Name_OriginalFileNumer.Ext So I'll end up with something like this: 2010\20101130_DanielLaurenWedding\20101130_DanielL aurenWedding_4232.CR2, etc Anyone got any suggestions? I have been able to setup Aperture to do this (with a plist modification to add the project name to the file name) but I'm very comfortable with LR... so I don't think I want to switch to Aperture just yet... (I love the LR presets, and many other features that LR has that Aperture doesn't yet, but maybe i should consider it... ahhh) |
