Can you recommend a printer to me which prints CDs, prints high quality prints for clients and ink doesn't cost a fortune... Basically, which printer is the best for photographers?
I use my local photo printing lab for prints. However I want to print 5-10 high quality prints at home for those clients who only want to have the digital pictures on DVDs. It takes forever to get around in Miami. Traffic is horrible! I have done my research and I came to the conclusion that these Canon printers are the best: Canon Pixma PRO9500, Canon Pixma PRO9000. Question: Do you have any experience with these printers? Do you have any other printer to recommend?

I am very surpirse no one responsed to you questions. I too am looking for a printer. So which one did you end up going with and how much did you spend? What photo paper are you using? Name brand and what style?

I got the Canon Pixma PRO9000 Mark II with my camera as a bundle. The printer retails for $450 but came with a $400 rebate making it well almost free! I have it listed on Ebay as I have 3 printers as it is but did consider keeping it as it has gotten great reviews.....

Hi,
I have a Canon Pixma iP3300. Won't go into prices as I am in NZ and the currency conversion is just way too much work ![]() Suffice to say that it was one of the cheapest in the shop, I've had it about 3 years and would highly recommend it. I guess going higher up the Canon Pixma range might give you better quality prints but I do all my printing on this one. If it ever gets replaced it will be with another Pixma!
