Default My daughter broke my PSE

My 19 month old got into my computer chair and messed with my keyboard. When I can back to the computer, all the images I had open in PSE had very drab color. They all look fine outside of Photoshop, but when I open them in Photoshop they have no color, or very little, they all look grayish. I can't figure out what she did. Something is messed up in my settings. Any ideas????? I have to finish this session! Thanks!

Is there one for the whole program? This is on any picture I pull up in PSE. Even my icons are washed out. Everything outside of PSE is fine...

Can't think of what might be wrong...maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling it?

I had to go to edit, color settings, and set it back to "optimize for computer screens." Nothing in that box was checked. I have no idea how she managed to do that, but it's fixed now. Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted out. When my daughter was younger she did a few things to my computer that caused me minor panic attacks.

Windows Key + L = lock computer. You have to enter your password to unlock it.

most probably she did press CTRL + Y (Proof Colors on and off) in PS, press it again to sort the problem out .

There is no better advice for a parent of a young kid that can access a computer

My WIFE does the same thing. I call it the "Angie Effect". It also happens to ipods, cameras, cars, etc. The Angie Effect usually manifests itself with her calling me - "hey - the computer is acting funny". She did SOMETHING to the laptop one day and I had to reformat it to fix it. I'm getting her an ipad, hopefully its more bulletproof, and "restore" is one click.
