Default What happened?

So I had posted earlier about my professional photographer sending me bad photos. I am trying to figure out if something could be done to edit the images to look normal? I am really new at photography so I am unsure. I emailed the photographer about my concerns but not heard bad yet. Any thoughts on how this could be fixed? I am hoping to avoid another photo session.

You would really need to work with the photographer who took the photos. It appears to be her style of processing, although I don't know what your child looks like normally, I don't see anything so desperately wrong with this photo.

ETA: If she did processing, she would have the original, unprocessed photos to work from. Typically, releases don't allow for altering images. Did she just provide you with digital images?

The photo release does not mention any processing work so that would be something I would have to ask her about. I just got a disc of the images and a blanket release of the images. Part of me thinks its just her style as well but she has done photos before and they were completely different. He doesn't look like that, he has rosy checks and pinker lips. I wanted nice photos but also photos that made him look like he already looks. He just looks like a doll in a magazine to me, no warmth.

thats pretty good bad photography
Many photographers have a particular style and don't deviate from it much, others try and include a variety of processing styles to provide you with some alternative views and moods. That overexposed/bright look is really popular now, so is the lens flare shot. I would think if you had one image you wanted reworked you could be accommodated - asking to rework a handful or more might prove more challenging.

Did you see the photographer's work before the shoot to know what her style is?

This photo looks fine and if it is similar to her portfolio, you really don't have much of a leg to stand on in asking for a reshoot or re-processing.

Yes. She has done photos for us before, about 8 months or so ago. They look completely different. Her style may have evolved a little bit.
