If you open your image through bridge it should automatically open in RAW but if it doesn't right click your image and click open with Camera Raw

If you just open the raw file in CS5, it will start the Camera Raw engine.

I have a related Camera Raw question so I will ask it here rather than starting a new thread

So say you open an image in Camera Raw, then you fix the white balance or whatever you want to fix, then you click "Open Image" and it opens in normal Photoshop, then you do more editing... is the editing you do outside of Camera Raw "destroying pixels" (like a jpeg would), or does it only do that if you save it as a jpeg first, THEN edit stuff?

Editing pixels in Photoshop is destructive, yes. But if you save the edited file separately (say, as a PSD), then the RAW file will be intact.
