Default Printing please help!

Ok so, i have some pictures i wish to have printed, some panoramas and some ordinary pictures aswell....

the 360 panorama for example in photoshop when i bring up "Image Size" is 300 pixels/inch and 85cm long.... now does this mean i can only print to 85cm long without loosing quality? ive tried googling it but i just seem to be getting more confused!

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Google can be great if you are lucky and hit the right site,or you are right it can be confusing been there done that many a time. Here is a link to a site I think explains image size in an easy to understand way Image Resolution and Print Quality - How Image Resolution Affects Print Quality - Photoshop Tutorial

I would just add that viewing on your monitor and printed images will appear different as there two different technologies for example what appears a noisey image may print great the same goes with printing at smaller dpi or ppi as blobs of ink on paper are not like pixels the image wont appear as bad as on your monitor zoomed in. Modern printers usualy yeild good results at 150/200 dpi or ppi some will look good at lower values.
