How to back up using bridge and camera raw

I've been trying lightroom 3 for a while and i know how to import, edit and export as a catalogue to preserve all adjustment settings with the photos.

But how can you preserve all the adjustments you have done using Camera Raw? Apart from copying the original raw files to a back up hard drive i don't see any way to save my editing in Camera raw.
